# Install Zero POS on an iPad, phone or computer

Add Zero POS from app.zeropos.shop to your Home Screen or desktop so it opens full screen like an app, then turn on notifications for that device.

Zero POS installs straight from the browser: there is no app store download. Its address is app.zeropos.shop. The installed app opens full screen, without the browser's address bar, and keeps you signed in.

## Before you start

- On iPhone and iPad, use Safari: notifications only work in the installed app, not in a Safari tab.
- Already have a Zero POS icon from before? It stops working on 16 November 2026. Install the new one as below, then follow “I already have the old icon”.

## Steps

### iPad or iPhone (Safari)

1. In Safari, go to app.zeropos.shop. If you have used Zero POS in Safari before, you arrive signed in; if not, sign in.
2. Tap the Share button, then **Add to Home Screen**.
   - Safari may show an **Install Zero POS** hint after a few seconds that says the same.
3. Tap “Add”. The Zero POS icon appears on your Home Screen.
4. Open Zero POS from that icon, not from Safari. The first time, it may ask you to sign in once: use Face ID if you set up a passkey.

### Android phone or tablet (Chrome)

5. In Chrome, go to app.zeropos.shop. If you have used Zero POS on this phone before, you arrive signed in; if not, sign in.
6. Tap the ⋮ menu, then “Install app” or “Add to Home screen” (the wording depends on the phone).
7. Confirm, then open Zero POS from its new icon. It is already signed in.

### Computer (Chrome or Edge)

8. In Chrome or Edge, go to app.zeropos.shop. If you have used Zero POS in this browser before, you arrive signed in; if not, sign in.
9. Click the install icon at the right of the address bar, or open the browser's menu and choose to install Zero POS.
10. Confirm. Zero POS opens in its own window, signed in, and sits with your other apps.

### I already have the old icon

11. The old icon stops working on 16 November 2026, so there is time to finish the sale first. Until then it shows **Zero POS has a new address.** In its last week it counts the days left.
12. Install the new icon from app.zeropos.shop, as above for your device. A browser you have used Zero POS in brings your sign-in with it.
13. On iPhone and iPad, the new icon may ask you to sign in once: use Face ID if you set up a passkey, or your email and password.
14. In the new icon, turn on notifications (below). Each icon asks for them on its own.
15. So alerts don't arrive twice: before 16 November, open **My profile** in the old icon and tap **Disable on this device**; after it, tap **Disable** beside the old one under **Registered devices** in the new icon.
16. Remove the old icon: press and hold it on the Home Screen and remove it, or on a computer uninstall it from its window's menu.
17. Missed the date? From 16 November the old icon shows **Zero POS has moved to app.zeropos.shop.** instead of the till: tap **Open app.zeropos.shop** to carry on selling, then install the new icon as above.

### Turn on notifications

18. Open the installed app, tap your initials, then **My profile**.
19. Under **Devices & push notifications**, tap **Enable on this device**.
20. Allow notifications when the device asks. You see **Notifications are on for this device.**
21. Tap **Send test push** and check the test notification arrives.

## What happens next

- The app keeps you signed in on that device, so sellers never retype a password during the day.
- Each device you turned on appears under **Registered devices** and receives alerts such as sales, check-ins and low stock.
- There is nothing to update: the app loads the latest Zero POS every time it opens.

## Common questions

### Why does Zero POS have a new address?

The website and the app now have one each: zeropos.shop is the website, app.zeropos.shop is the app. Your shop, your sign-in, your passkeys and your data stay the same. Bookmarks and links from before keep working and take you to the new address. An icon installed from zeropos.shop stops working on 16 November 2026.

### What happens to the old icon on 16 November 2026?

It stops opening the till. Instead it shows **Zero POS has moved to app.zeropos.shop.**, with a button that opens the new address and the steps to install the new icon. A sale left open on it can still be finished there first.

### Does the old icon still get notifications?

Yes, until you turn them off or remove it, even after 16 November. The new icon asks for notifications on its own, so turn them on in the new one first, then turn the old one off (“I already have the old icon”).

### How do I get the latest version?

Close the app completely and open it again. It always loads the newest Zero POS from the internet.

### Does the app work without internet?

Keep the device online: the app loads its screens and saves every sale over the internet.

### The installed app opens on an English sign-in page. Is that normal?

Yes. After you sign in, your screens follow your language. See [Sign in without typing a password](https://zeropos.shop/help/sign-in-and-passkeys).

### I typed zeropos.shop and the website opened. Where is the till?

zeropos.shop is Zero POS's website, on every device, signed in or not. The app is at app.zeropos.shop: bookmark that. The button at the top of the website (in the menu on a phone) takes you there too, and old zeropos.shop/app bookmarks still work: in a browser they move you across, signed in.

## If you see this

- “**Zero POS has a new address.**” — What to do: Your icon is from the old address. It stops working on 16 November 2026: install the new one when you have a minute (“I already have the old icon”, above), or tap ✕ to hide the message until tomorrow.
- “**This icon stops working in 3 days.**” — What to do: Your icon is from the old address, which stops opening the till on 16 November 2026. Install the new one now (“I already have the old icon”, above). In this last week, ✕ hides the message until you next open the app.
- “**Zero POS has moved to app.zeropos.shop.**” — What to do: Zero POS lives at app.zeropos.shop: tap **Open app.zeropos.shop** to carry on there. An icon installed from the old address stopped opening the till on 16 November 2026: install the new one (“I already have the old icon”, above).
- “**Moving you to app.zeropos.shop…**” — What to do: Zero POS has its own address now and is taking you there, signed in. If nothing happens, tap **Not moving? Open app.zeropos.shop**.
- “The new icon asks me to sign in.” — What to do: On iPhone and iPad each icon keeps its own sign-in, so the new one may ask once. Use Face ID if you set up a passkey, or your email and password; it then stays signed in ([Sign in without typing a password](https://zeropos.shop/help/sign-in-and-passkeys)).
- “**On iPhone, first add Zero POS to your Home Screen, then open it from there.**” — What to do: Install it as above, open it from the icon, then tap **Enable on this device** again.
- “**Notifications are blocked in your browser settings.**” — What to do: Allow notifications for Zero POS in the device's or browser's settings, then tap **Enable on this device**.
- “**This browser doesn't support push notifications.**” — What to do: Use the installed app from Safari on iPhone and iPad, or Chrome or Edge elsewhere.
- “**Could not send.**” — What to do: Tap **Disable on this device**, then **Enable on this device**, and send the test again.

## Good to know

- Install it on every device you use: the counter iPad, your phone and the office computer each need notifications turned on separately.
- On a counter that works in a browser, bookmark app.zeropos.shop so it opens there straight away.
