# Send an offer to your customers

Pick a template, choose who gets it, send yourself a test, then send. Once it starts it can't be recalled, and the campaign page shows who got it.

A campaign is one template sent to one audience. Only customers who may receive marketing email get it: [Record whether a customer wants offers](https://zeropos.shop/help/marketing-consent).

Where to find it: BACKOFFICE › Marketing › Offers.

## Before you start

- Your own email provider connected and the postal address filled in: [Connect your email and set up marketing emails](https://zeropos.shop/help/set-up-email-sending).
- A template, checked with a test: [Write an offer email](https://zeropos.shop/help/write-an-offer).

## Steps

### 1 · Template

1. On [BACKOFFICE › Marketing › Offers](https://app.zeropos.shop/backoffice/campaigns), open **Campaigns** and tap **New campaign**.
   - Or tap **Use in a campaign** on a template.
2. Type a **Campaign name**. Only your team sees it.
3. Choose the template and tap **Next**.

### 2 · Audience

4. Pick who gets it: **All customers**, **Lapsed regulars**, **Quiet big spenders**, **Layaway**, **Birthdays this month** or **Pick customers**.
5. Read the count: how many will receive it, and who is left out and why.
6. Tap **Next**.

### 3 · Review

7. Check **Going to**, **Template** and the **Preview**.
8. Tap **Send me a test** and read the email in your own inbox.
9. Tap **Send to … customers**.
10. Check the number once more and tap **Send now**.

> Heads-up: A campaign can't be recalled once it starts. **Cancel sending** only stops the emails still waiting.

## What happens next

- Sending starts within a minute, at your **Sending pace**, and you get a notification when it finishes.
- The campaign page becomes the delivery log: **Sent**, **Failed**, **Skipped** and **Waiting**, with one line per customer and why anyone was skipped.
- Each campaign gets a web page with the same products and prices, linked from the email as **See this offer as a page**. It greets nobody by name, so it is safe to share.
- A customer who taps **Unsubscribe** is never sent offers again, whichever customer file has their address.

## Who is left out, and why

**No email**: the file has no address. **Unsubscribed**: they said no, and nothing overrides it. **Not eligible**: they never bought here and never said yes; existing customers count as eligible while **Email existing customers who have not opted out** is on.

**Same inbox as another customer**: two files share one address, so it gets one copy. **Record merged into another**: the file was merged into another one.

## Common questions

### Can I send it later?

A campaign starts when you tap **Send now**. To send on another day, prepare it, tap **Save draft**, and send it on the day.

### What does cancelling do?

**Cancel sending** stops everyone still waiting. Emails already on their way still arrive.

### How many customers can I pick by hand?

Up to 2,000. The lapsed and quiet lists are capped at their biggest customers, like [Worth a call: who to phone this week](https://zeropos.shop/help/worth-a-call).

### What does “Failed” on a customer mean?

Your provider refused that email. The **Error** column says why; a common cause is an address that no longer exists.

## If you see this

- “**Nobody in this audience can receive email right now.**” — What to do: Everyone in the audience is left out. Pick another audience, or check who may receive offers: [Record whether a customer wants offers](https://zeropos.shop/help/marketing-consent).
- “**No email sender of your own is set up. Offers cannot go out through the shared one.**” — What to do: Connect your email first: [Connect your email and set up marketing emails](https://zeropos.shop/help/set-up-email-sending).
- “**Add a postal address in Settings → Marketing emails before sending.**” — What to do: Fill in the **Postal address** on [MANAGE › Settings › Marketing emails](https://app.zeropos.shop/backoffice/settings/marketing), then send again.
- ““The audience has moved since you looked: it is now …”” — What to do: Someone was added, unsubscribed or bought since you opened the review. Read the new number and confirm again.
- “**This campaign has already been sent.**” — What to do: Nothing to do. To send it again, start a **New campaign** with the same template.
