Salon staff rota template
A free weekly rota to print for a salon, spa or beauty shop: who works when, the shop’s hours on top, and each person’s hours for the week.
Prints on one page of A4 or US Letter: only the sheet, no menus or footer.
How to build the week with it
- Write the shop’s opening hours on the first line, so every gap shows at a glance.
- Ask the team which days suit them before you start, and fill in holidays and days off first.
- Put the treatments that are already booked next to you: a day with a full diary needs therapists, not only someone on the till.
- Write a start and a finish for each shift, then add up each person’s hours in the last column and check them against what they’re contracted for.
- Pin it up or send a photo a week ahead, and write any swap on the sheet so the latest version is the one on the wall.
A rota people can rely on
The rota that works is the one people see early and that doesn’t change behind their backs. Publishing it a week ahead, and keeping swaps on the same sheet, saves most of the messages that start with “am I in tomorrow?”.
Cover is not the same every day. Late openings, Saturdays and the week before a holiday need more people; a quiet Tuesday morning may need only one.
