What's new

Changes to Zero POS, newest first, each with the guide that explains it.

October 2026

  1. New· Selling at the till

Tips: your own rules for who gets them

Tips now have their own page, Settings → Tips. Choose what the till offers (your percentages, a custom percentage, a custom amount) and who gets each tip: whoever made the sale, a split with the team on shift, or everyone on shift, equally or by hours. A summary reads it back in plain words.

  2. New· Selling at the till

Tips at checkout, when you switch them on

Turn on Ask for a tip in Settings → Tips and the till offers No tip, your three percentages (10, 15 and 20 to start), a custom percentage or a custom amount at payment. The tip is paid in cash or by card, prints on the receipt and is counted in the day's close, never as a sale.

  3. New· Treatments & appointments

Appointment reminders by email or text

Switch reminders on in Treatments → Reminders: every booked appointment with an email or a phone gets one the day before, two hours before or both. Emails go out in your shop's name, texts from your own Twilio account, connected in Settings → Integrations. Each reminder has a link to stop them.

  4. New· Money & accounting

American shops see sales tax, and your tax can have its own name

With the United States as its country, a shop now calls its tax Sales tax on the till, receipts, emailed receipts, invoices and reports, and a new American workspace starts in dollars with prices before tax. Settings → Company info → Tax name takes a name of your own, such as GST or IVU.

  5. Improved· Getting started

Icons from the old address stop working on 16 November

An icon installed from zeropos.shop stops working on Monday 16 November 2026: its banner now says so, and counts down the last week. From that day it shows Zero POS has moved, with a button that opens app.zeropos.shop and the steps to install the new icon. Bookmarks and links keep working.

  6. Improved· Getting started

Zero POS has a new address: app.zeropos.shop

Zero POS now lives at app.zeropos.shop. In a browser, zeropos.shop/app and your bookmarks take you there already signed in, with your saved workspaces. An app installed from the old address keeps working and shows how to install the new one; on iPhone and iPad the new icon may ask you to sign in once.

  7. Improved· Stock & products

Low Stock on the product list uses the alert's level

The Low Stock tab and the colour of each stock figure now go by the low-stock alert's level: the shop's own minimum, else the product's threshold, else the default in Inventory defaults. Some products may now show as low. On the product form, the shop ticks are now Stock lines at these locations.

  8. New· Stock & products

A warning when two products share a barcode

Save a product whose barcode another product already has and the Products list now names it, and says which one a scan rings up: the one added first. The product import's preview warns the same way. Nothing is refused: give each product its own barcode so every one scans.

  9. Improved· Selling at the till

The discount voucher's headline carries your shop's name

Left blank, the quick-print discount voucher's headline now prints your company name in capitals and EXCLUSIVE VOUCHER, in the language your shop prints in (VALE EXCLUSIVO and the name in Spanish). A headline you typed in Settings → Quick prints, or at the till, prints as before.

  10. Improved· Reports & dashboards

A layaway counts in Sales on the day it is completed

Sales, the dashboards and the Accounting overview now count a layaway on the day its last payment is taken, so finishing one never changes a month you have closed; past months adjust once where one spanned two. Payments counts each deposit and instalment on the day it is paid, as the day close does.

  11. Improved· Customers & loyalty

Loyalty spend has its own name

On a customer's Loyalty tab, the total their tier is worked out from is now called Loyalty spend, and Settings → Loyalty and store credit asks for a Min loyalty spend. It leaves out VAT, discounts and refunds, so it was never the Lifetime spend at the top of the file. No figure has changed.

  12. Improved· Reports & dashboards

CSV files open cleanly in Spanish Excel

With your screens in Spanish, every Export CSV now separates its cells with semicolons and writes amounts with a decimal comma, so Excel in Spanish opens it straight into columns with a double-click. In English the files are exactly as before. A CSV saved by Excel in Spanish now imports too.

  13. Improved· Settings & account

Invoice numbering shows only what it does

Settings → Invoice numbering no longer offers a reset cycle or extra series: numbering starts again whenever the prefix changes (each month with {MM} in it), and every sale is numbered in one format. A new workspace created in Spanish starts on FAC instead of INV.

  14. Improved· Settings & account

Email wording saved long ago follows your customers' language

If your shop saved Settings → Email templates before we last rewrote them, that copy of our wording now counts as ours: a Spanish shop's customers and staff get today's wording in Spanish, the receipt's discount line included. Words you changed yourself still go out as you wrote them.

  15. Improved· Treatments & appointments

Gift vouchers are good for the whole of their last day

A gift voucher now lasts until midnight on its last day, on the shop's calendar, as a gift card does. The slip, Gift vouchers and the customer's page give that date (“Valid until 11 April 2027”), and the counter and the booking page take it all that day. Vouchers already given gain the rest of their last day too.

  16. Improved· Money & accounting

"Team advances (paid)" is now "Bonuses and deductions paid"

The Accounting overview card, and the matching rows on Payments, are named for what they hold: bonuses marked as already paid, less deductions paid back. They never hold a cash advance, and they aren't counted in Net profit: pay counts as a cost once you log what you paid as an expense.

  17. Improved· Stock & products

Edit Product saves only the stock you change

Saving a price, a photo or a category never touches the stock. If you change a shop's stock and it moves while the form is open (the till sells one, say), nothing is saved and the form shows the figure now beside what you typed, so you can enter it again.

  18. Improved· Selling at the till

Scan a product by its SKU label as well as its barcode

A barcode scanner at the till, and on Mark tester or damaged, now finds a product by its SKU as well as by its barcode: a label you print with the SKU scans too, in capitals or small letters. The barcode is still looked for first.

  19. New· Stock & products

Validate a stock count someone saved

A count saved with Submit count, or by someone who can't validate, now waits on Stock Taking under Counts waiting for validation, with who saved it and when. A manager taps Validate, checks the lines and applies it once. Sales made since the count still count.

  20. Improved· Customers & loyalty

The Customers list's money column is now called Net spend

It was headed Lifetime spend, but it takes refunds off: it is each customer's Net, as on their file. Now it says so (Net spent in the export), and the rows no longer seem short of the Customers' spend tile, which counts sales only. No figure has changed.

  21. Improved· Customers & loyalty

Find a customer, a product or a sale without typing the accents

A name no longer needs its accents, at the till and in every list: “ibanez” finds Ibáñez when you look a customer up, and “creme” finds Crème among products. The same goes for invoices, layaways, suppliers, gift cards, your team and campaigns. Numbers, SKUs, emails and phones are found as before.

  22. Improved· Your day

Close day counts a payment method that gave back more than it took

When a card refund is bigger than the day's card sales, the card's count box starts below 0, like the terminal's own total for the day, and the day closes balanced with it. A day of nothing but refunds is counted too.

  23. New· Reports & dashboards

What customers still owe on layaways, on the Company dashboard

Layaways: still owed shows what customers owe on every open layaway right now, whatever period you pick, and how many are open. See who owes → opens Layaway balances on the same total.

  24. Improved· Reports & dashboards

Report searches ignore accents, and namesakes stay apart

Searching a report no longer needs the accents: “jose” finds José and “nunez” finds Núñez. On the Sales Report grouped by customer, two customers with the same name read “Marta García” and “Marta García · 2”, as on the Customers Report.

  25. Improved· Treatments & appointments

Treatments switched off leave the sidebar too

A shop that doesn't offer treatments no longer sees the Treatments folder in the sidebar or the phone menu. Switch them on in Settings → Treatment menu and it comes straight back, with everything you set up. Online booking keeps its own switch.

  26. Improved· Customers & loyalty

No more points-expiry box that did nothing

Points have never expired, so Settings → Loyalty and store credit no longer shows a months box that changed nothing. Points stay on the customer's file until a manager redeems them.

  27. Improved· Settings & account

Every alert in your own language

Alerts for check-ins, breaks, a day opened or closed, low stock, refunds, sales and approval requests now reach each person in the language of their own screens, or else the shop's. A day opened or closed is named in words, not 2026-10-08. A sale message you wrote goes out as you wrote it.

  28. New· Team & pay

The rota tells your team when to say which days suit them

The morning a week's availability opens, everyone who hasn't answered is told, and anyone still silent is reminded before it closes, in their own language. Set the reminder in Settings → Rota (0 never reminds). Min women on a shift has left the Location form: the rota never used it.

  29. Improved· Getting started

Fix a mistyped sign-up email, and switch to Expert in one tap

Typed your email wrong when signing up? Correct it on the page that asks you to confirm it, and the link goes to the right address. Switching to Expert accounting no longer stops at payment methods the till has used: Add them and switch adds them for you. Staff invitations now link your sign-in page.

  30. Improved· Selling at the till

The till opens on your products after a day off

After a day the shop was closed, the till opens straight onto its products and refreshes them as it opens, instead of waiting for the network.

  31. Improved· Settings & account

Your team's emails, slips and screens in your language

A Spanish sign-up now meets Spanish from its first email. Staff emails (daily report, low stock, payroll, password, invitation) reach each person in their own language, and the printer's test page, the print queue, the end-of-day slip and the treatments tab follow too. Opening the day says why it didn't.

  32. Improved· Treatments & appointments

Book as many treatments at once as you have rooms

The treatment calendar now takes as many bookings at the same time as the shop's treatment rooms, just like online booking, and each shop can set its own number in Locations. Choose or change who does an appointment from its row, online bookings included; nobody is booked for two at once.

  33. Improved· Settings & account

Receipt emails and deal messages in your customers' language

Receipt and refund emails keep Zero POS's wording in your Customer language, even after you save Email templates; words you write yourself go out as typed. Unticking Enabled on Sale receipt now stops the automatic receipt, and a deal page's WhatsApp, email and SMS buttons write in your customers' language.

  34. Improved· Settings & account

Receipt templates in your customers’ language

The ready-made texts under Templates in Settings → Receipt now come in your shop’s Customer language, and one you saved unchanged prints in it. The strict return policy now offers an exchange or a refund the way the customer paid, and every policy says sales paid with a gift card or store credit are final.

  35. Improved· Customers & loyalty

A clearer Loyalty tab on the customer’s file

The Tier tile shows the tier’s Label, and the points history reads in your language. Redeem waits until the points reach the shop’s minimum and says why when it can’t go ahead, instead of doing nothing.

  36. Improved· Reports & dashboards

Reports in your language, CSV files included

Every data report, the day closes, the dashboards and payroll now write their columns, rows and periods in each person’s language: “octubre de 2026” on a Spanish screen. The CSV you export has the headers you see, under a plain file name any spreadsheet opens. Customers are listed by name only.

  37. Improved· Team & pay

Choose who builds the rota, records time off and stops gift cards

Settings → Permissions now has switches for the rota, time off and gift cards. Under Team & HR, choose who builds and publishes the rota and who sees, records and cancels time off; under POS & sales, who may issue a gift card by hand or stop one. Every role keeps the access it has today.

  38. Improved· Team & pay

    Permissions in your language

Settings → Permissions now names every permission, group and role in the language you use the app in, and says what each role is for. Its search finds a word with or without accents.

  39. Improved· Marketing

Your deal page starts in your customers’ language

Until you write your own in Settings → Deal page & vouchers, the deal page, the printed deal voucher and new contact buttons use ready-made words in your shop’s customer language: in Spanish, “Tu vale exclusivo te espera” and “Pídela por WhatsApp”. Anything you wrote yourself stays exactly as you wrote it.

  40. Improved· Your day

Ask for the opening float at one shop and not another

Edit a shop in Locations and choose Day open: Use the company setting, Required at this location or Not required at this location. The till asks to open the day, with the opening float, only at the shops where it is required.

  41. Improved· Getting started

Seven new guides, from taking payment to fixing common problems

New guides explain taking payment (split, gift card or store credit), printing or emailing a receipt again, loyalty points and tiers, gift cards still owed, treatment rooms and who does each treatment, and email templates. A troubleshooting page gathers common problems and their fixes.

  42. New· Treatments & appointments

Mark a no-show, and undo it if they walk in late

Once an appointment’s time has come, tap No-show in the treatment calendar or the Appointments list. It stays on the day in amber, its time shows as free, and it fills the No-shows tab. Customer arrives late after all? Undo no-show books it again, with their gift voucher held again too.

  43. Improved· Stock & products

Choose the day an order arrived, and change it later

Receiving a supplier order now asks Received on: today unless you change it, even a day before the order’s Placed at, which then moves back to match. The order counts in the month its goods arrived on the Accounting overview, and the pencil beside Received on corrects it later.

  44. Improved· Stock & products

Choose the day you paid a supplier, and change it later

Every supplier payment now shows Paid on, the day the money left: on a new order it starts at the order's date. Logged one on the wrong day? Open the order and tap the pencil beside the payment; it moves to the right month in Expenses and in the account.

September 2026

  1. Improved· Settings & account

    Your shop’s own currency, everywhere

Every screen, receipt, report and email now shows the currency chosen in Localization settings, so a shop that sells in euros sees euros throughout.

  2. Improved· Invoices & refunds

Store credit and gift card sales are final

A refund gives back only money paid by card, cash or transfer. A sale paid even partly with store credit or a gift card can’t be refunded, exchanged, cancelled or edited, and the refund screen says so as soon as it opens. You can also find the sale to refund by the customer’s phone.

  3. New· Settings & account

Every screen now has its guide

Eleven new guides close the last gaps. Nine cover Settings, from a map of every tile to invoice numbering, notifications, branding, quick print templates, the deal page, low-stock alerts, billing and your workspace's data. Two explain Activity history and Support access.

  4. Improved· Getting started

A new help centre, laid out like the app

Guides follow the sidebar, area by area, in English and Castilian. Four paths show where to start, a glossary explains the shop's words, and search understands the words staff use. The “?” at the top of each screen opens its guide.

  5. Improved· Selling at the till

A layaway can't be paid with a gift card

On a layaway the till no longer offers Gift card, for the deposit or for any instalment. A gift card already added to a sale is taken off when the sale becomes a layaway, so choose another way to pay.

  6. New· Invoices & refunds

    More ways to filter invoices

More filters on Invoices finds sales by how they were paid, a product or category on the ticket, a discount, gift cards, the day of the week or the time of day. Amount from and Amount to list invoices between two amounts, on Invoices and in the Sales and Payments reports.

  7. New· Reports & dashboards

Reports filter by category and by type of customer

The Sales report can keep only the invoices with a product from the categories you choose. Customer type on the Sales and Payments reports splits New, Returning and Walk-in customers; the Customers report offers New and Returning.

  8. New· Getting started

Arrange the sidebar your own way

Your sidebar, on your profile, puts the sections and the screens inside them in the order you like, for you only. Click a section's heading to fold it away and again to bring it back. New Sale, Quick actions and Check-in always stay at the top.

  9. Improved· Team & pay

The rota in a Team folder, customer outreach in Marketing

The rota, your availability and time off now sit together in one Team folder in the sidebar. Offers, Deals and Worth a call sit in one Marketing folder. The top of the sidebar keeps what a shift needs: New Sale, Quick actions and Check-in.

  10. Improved· Getting started

Sign-in, sign-up and password reset in Castilian

The pages for signing in, creating a workspace and resetting a password now come in Castilian as well as English. Links from the Spanish pages open them in Castilian; everyone else sees them exactly as before.

  11. New· Team & pay

A rota built by rules you can read

Staff say which days suit them; the app proposes a draft for every shop at once and says which rule gave each shift. Gaps are left showing, the draft saves itself, and publishing tells the people whose shifts changed. Shift patterns save a usual week to reuse.

  12. New· Team & pay

Time off: holidays and sick days, counted for you

Record holidays and sick days across the year and see each person's allowance, carried over, taken, booked and left. You choose the leave year, working or calendar days and what happens to unused days, and days the shop is shut don't use anyone's allowance.

  13. New· Selling at the till

Gift cards, sold at the till

Sell a gift card like any other line: it prints with a code, and the balance can be spent over several visits. Checking a code never spends it. The owner sets how many months a card lasts. The Gift cards screen lists them, stops a lost one and changes an expiry.

  14. New· Stock & products

Import your whole catalogue from a spreadsheet

Import products gives you a template with a column for each location's opening stock. Upload it and preview every row before anything is saved; a file with a problem is refused whole. An import can be undone while nothing it created has been sold, moved or ordered.

  15. New· Marketing

Worth a call: the customers to phone this week

Three lists built from your own sales: open layaways with money still owing, oldest first; regulars who have gone quiet by their own rhythm; and big spenders nobody has seen for ninety days. Each list says the rule it used. The screen only reads: it sends nothing.

Guides written from the app's own screens and checked against them, in English and Castilian Spanish.
