Find a customer

Look a customer up by name, phone or email at the till while selling, or in the Customers list. At the till you can add a new one on the spot.

The customers list with search and filters

Search by name, phone or email, or filter the list.

Steps

At the till

  1. Step 1

On New Sale, type a name, phone or email in the Customer box.

  2. Step 2

Tap the right person in the results to link them to the sale.

    • Unlink lets them go again.
  3. Step 3

Nobody found? Fill in Full name, Phone number and Email under the box to add them.

    • If the email is already on file, tap Use this record instead of creating a second customer.
  4. Step 4

Finish the sale as usual: the new customer's file is created with it.

In the Customers list

  1. Step 5
  2. Step 6

Type in Search name, email, or phone...; it matches the same three fields.

  3. Step 7

Narrow the list with the date buttons, All regions, Added at location, Added by or My customers.

  4. Step 8

Tap a name to open the customer's file (The customer file).

What happens next

  • A linked customer's sale goes on their file: it shows under Invoices and earns points when the shop uses them.
  • When the customer has store credit, it appears under Payment methods as soon as they are linked (Store credit).
  • A walk-in sale stays without a customer. To add one afterwards, edit the invoice (Edit an invoice).

Good to know

  • A name is found without its accents or capitals, at the till and in the list: “ibanez” finds Ibáñez. A phone number or an email matches as it was saved: a number stored with spaces will not match when typed without them.
  • Missing email shows the files without an email, so you can complete them before their next sale.
  • Roles allowed to see money also see Net spend: each customer's sales less their refunds, the Net on their file. The Customers' spend tile counts sales only, so with refunds the rows add up to less.
