Marketing

Send an offer to your customers

Pick a template, choose who gets it, send yourself a test, then send. Once it starts it can't be recalled, and the campaign page shows who got it.

How-toBy default: Owner · Administrator · Manager · MarketingWhere: BACKOFFICE › Marketing › OffersChecked 29 Sept 2026Step 12 of 12 · The business side

Owners can change what each role may do.

A campaign is one template sent to one audience. Only customers who may receive marketing email get it: Record whether a customer wants offers.

Before you start

Offers on a phone, with the Templates and Campaigns tabs and two templates

Campaigns send a template to the customers you choose.

Steps

1 · Template

  1. Step 1

On BACKOFFICE › Marketing › Offers, open Campaigns and tap New campaign.

    • Or tap Use in a campaign on a template.
  2. Step 2

  3. Step 3

Choose the template and tap Next.

2 · Audience

  1. Step 4

Pick who gets it: All customers, Lapsed regulars, Quiet big spenders, Layaway, Birthdays this month or Pick customers.

  2. Step 5

Read the count: how many will receive it, and who is left out and why.

  3. Step 6

    Tap Next.

3 · Review

  1. Step 7

Check Going to, Template and the Preview.

  2. Step 8

Tap Send me a test and read the email in your own inbox.

    Tap Send to … customers.

  4. Step 10

What happens next

  • Sending starts within a minute, at your Sending pace, and you get a notification when it finishes.
  • The campaign page becomes the delivery log: Sent, Failed, Skipped and Waiting, with one line per customer and why anyone was skipped.
  • Each campaign gets a web page with the same products and prices, linked from the email as See this offer as a page. It greets nobody by name, so it is safe to share.
  • A customer who taps Unsubscribe is never sent offers again, whichever customer file has their address.

Who is left out, and why

No email: the file has no address. Unsubscribed: they said no, and nothing overrides it. Not eligible: they never bought here and never said yes; existing customers count as eligible while Email existing customers who have not opted out is on.

Same inbox as another customer: two files share one address, so it gets one copy. Record merged into another: the file was merged into another one.

Questions

Can I send it later?
A campaign starts when you tap Send now. To send on another day, prepare it, tap Save draft, and send it on the day.
What does cancelling do?
Cancel sending stops everyone still waiting. Emails already on their way still arrive.
How many customers can I pick by hand?
Up to 2,000. The lapsed and quiet lists are capped at their biggest customers, like Worth a call: who to phone this week.
What does “Failed” on a customer mean?
Your provider refused that email. The Error column says why; a common cause is an address that no longer exists.

If you see this…

  • On screen

Nobody in this audience can receive email right now.

    What to do

Everyone in the audience is left out. Pick another audience, or check who may receive offers: Record whether a customer wants offers.

  • On screen

No email sender of your own is set up. Offers cannot go out through the shared one.

    What to do

Connect your email first: Connect your email and set up marketing emails.

  • On screen

Add a postal address in Settings → Marketing emails before sending.

    What to do

Fill in the Postal address on MANAGE › Settings › Marketing emails, then send again.

  • On screen

“The audience has moved since you looked: it is now …”

    What to do

Someone was added, unsubscribed or bought since you opened the review. Read the new number and confirm again.

  • On screen

This campaign has already been sent.

    What to do

Nothing to do. To send it again, start a New campaign with the same template.
